Spring has sprung and it’s time to shed off that Winter skin! After being completely covered in layers from head to toe to keep warm, I know I need a rejuvenating scrub to help my skin glow once more. While researching, I found that these three {yes, only three!} ingredients are essential in keeping your skin young and fresh.
INGREDIENTS:
-9 tablespoons sea salt
-2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
-2 lemons
-1 small container
Why these ingredients? Benefits:
Sea salt- It is used to exfoliate dead skin from the body, leaving your skin fresh, nourished and smooooth as a baby’s bottom.
Olive Oil- Because of the high amount of Vitamin E it soothes and heals the skin. Also, it naturally moisturizes and is known for its anti-aging benefit {who doesn’t love that?}.
Lemons- They are a natural source of Vitamin C {used to lighten sun and age spots}. Lemon juice tightens pores and brightens the complexion as well.
Lets get started! Mix the sea salt and olive oil together until well blended {texture will seem thick and goopy}. Cut your lemons in half and squeeze as much of the juice as you can. Mix again and… voila!
It smells delightfully fresh and fruity! I’ve been using my scrub all night and it’s amazing how soft and youthful it makes your skin look and feel! I even had the hubs try it on his hands {HE who uses NO skin products} and he was pleasantly surprised.
I can’t wait to give these out as small gifts!
Alright, now it’s your turn to try it out…

Love it! Can’t wait to try
Let me know what you think once you do!
This sounds wonderful!! Was wondering about storage…how long would this keep? I know the salt and olve oil would last a bit but the lemon?
What happened to your homemade eczema cream? I made a batch, and whenI went to make more, the recipe wasn’t there anymore. Any chance you can reprint it?

I love how you packaged this in the jar! Very cute! The lemon scent would be great for summer. I made a sugar scrub using coconut oil instead of olive oil, and it did leave my skin very soft — but left a mess in the shower.
This is so awesone but dont waste the lemon zest! Use a lemon zester or the fine side of you cheese grater to add zest to your mixture. More vitamin C and exfolliating.
Lemons are also an awesome exfoliant due to the citric acid!
This sounds fantastic, I love the bright & vibrant scent of lemon. Will be giving this a whirl!
