I finally have a craft room!

Thank God it’s Friday :-D
I have had the typical BEST Friday. Not only did little Lyla and I have our #1 man here with us alllll day but I was also able to use my Mother’s Day gift card for a MASSAGE! After the masseuse was finished I felt like a new woman. {Pull out the little black dress and pumps. Let’s go ;-) } It was spectacular! {By the way, if you live in the Indianapolis area be sure to stop by Massage Envy at Emerson -by the Starbucks- and ask for Tara!}

Let’s get to the main topic: I finally have a craft room! Yes, it’s true. I have to admit though, it’s been quite pathetic how excited I’ve been over this craft room. It’s like… #1. God, #2. Jake & Lyla, #3. Craft Room. Well that might be somewhat untrue BUT it’s definitely high up on the list. I could kiss my hubbies toes {gag. I hate feet. Thank goodness it’s just a figure of speech.} for making me the perfect craft table to go in the room! I was going to do one blog on the craft table and one on the walls before revealing the whole room but I was too amped to share so here. it. is.

{{Heads up….LOTS of pics!}}

Our walls were already blue but I wanted a little ‘umph’ so I decided to add a design. I got one of those sponge brushes in the paint aisle for $.53 and pulled out an old can of paint I had and went to town.

Now I put hubs to work…

We went to one of our favorite places {Menard’s} and bought a piece of wood 2ft x 8 ft, some wood posts and screws. Time to build a table. I gotta say my man beasted it out it like a boss and I was more than pleased with the result! {There is definitely something attractive about a man when he is building! Agreed? :-D }

Time to paint the table and add all my prized possessions into the room! {My favorite part. Eek!}

Dry brushed this beauty with coral color paint…

Look at those amazing legs on that table!

Lovin’ my bird cage!

Recovered the lamp with fabric from a vintage dress…

Somebody found a new play room ;-)

So, I would like to hear what your favorite part of the room is?

Have a FUN weekend!!

    Loved the split rail desk legs, come over to my house you might find me copying the leg idea. Favorite is Lyla thinking she has a new play room.

    Hello Ceara, I about died when I saw what you had done to that $10 end table. It inspired me to buy 3 yesterday for the same bargain price that I am going use as end tables in my living room. Do you have a tutorial for how to achieve the look and product recs? Thanks in advance!

    • Great! I’m excited to hear that you were inspired to do some of your own projects!!
      I don’t have a tutorial posted yet but by next week I should have one posted so stayed tuned! ;-)
