Bring on Fall…

Whewwww wheeee-

It has been one fun, cra-zeee week! We had family in town and my baby’s FIRST birthday party {eeeekkk}! It turned out to be a success! Lyla {my daughter} was so funny and hammed it up the whole time even though she was running on no nap…{the whole day}! Proud momma here. Check out a few pictures from the party….

I love party planning and decorating….WAY to much. {Husband is probably nodding obnoxiously with all his might as he reads that line. }

I have been trying my hardest to hold out on decorating for Fall. I’m always known for rushing the holidays/seasons a little too quick. Well folks… I held out till Labor Day. {good enough, right?} My sis-in-law and I decided once Labor Day hit, it was free reign to cozy up our homes with a little Fall decor. EVERYTHING at the store was 40-50% off {SCORE} on Labor Day so I grabbed some flowers, burlap, pumpkins, candles and a few other essentials all for a low, pretty penny. Hobbylobby.com is my true love. {ahhhhh…} Only problem is, I was grabbing these items for my “non-existant” mantle. {Wa-wa-wah} You see, I’ve been nicely asking begging my husband to make a mantle for me for over a year.  I’ve always adored the rustic, homey touch a mantle gives to a home aaaannnnd it looks awesome when decorated. Hubs FINALLY gave in and created a mantle for me! YES! {I could kiss him a thousand times and then some for making it!} No time for wasting, I got right to the decorating….
