DIY Fabric Flower {Burlap & Lace}

Hey everyone! I just wanted to pop in for a moment and share a fun,
new DIY! As a Pinterest addict I can say first hand that I've seen my
fair share of fabric flowers floating around. They're all the rage! I
can't help but be obsessed with them just as much as the next bloke
soooo indeed... I made a fabric flower! I believe I'll be making a
couple {or 20+} more. ;-) Here's the tutorial...

ITEMS NEEDED:
2 6x6 in fabric squares (same or different fabric)
1 Marble
Twine
1 Rubber band
Scissors
Measuring tape
Glue gun

HOW TO:
1.}} Cut a 6x6 in. square out of your FIRST fabric.

2.}} Fold in half making corners meet {creating a triangle}.

3.}} Fold again.

4.}} AND again. {Turn the fabric making the folded part at the
bottom and the open folds at the top.}

5.}} Cut in the shape of an ice cream cone. {Notice in the above picture a
faint white line. Cut along this shape.} Lay out fabric.

6.}} Repeat steps with your second fabric.

7.}} Lay your second fabric on top of the first.

8.}} Place your marble in the center.

9.}} Holding the marble in place, tie the rubber band around the marble.

11.}} Hot glue your twine around the marble.

Aaaand Ta-dah! You're finished! I fell in love with it and decided to
glue it on a headband for my little girl. Check.it.out! :)

    The flower is nice, but that baby model is the prettiest I have ever seen. Lyla your beautiful, hugs and kisses from the Neal’s.

  2. That’s really funny because I made fabric flowers this weekend too! The one you made is super cute! I love it. I made some with felt for my new Fall wreath and I made a burlap flower – it was really just a test to see if I could do it. It’s kind of hard lol I’m still trying to decide if that’s the route I want to go when making HUGE flowers for the center of my curtain tie backs =]

      That’s awesome! I tried a couple different ones and they are a bit tricky. This one was quite simple though :) Good luck on the curtain tie backs!

  3. How sweet does she look!!! I totally love it and will have to make one for my little one. Thanks for the tutorial.
