Does anyone else adore seeing their children be creative?! It brings complete and utter joy to me as a parent!
My little one is nearing a year and a half so “art” at her age is the most beautiful to me because it has no restrictions, no expectations and no boundaries. It can be the most simple piece of art and yet it’s still beautiful because SHE created it. I love seeing her be proud of her artwork as well. Anytime someone comes over to our home {which is often} she immediately shows off her artwork to them and then awaits an applause. lol.
Anyways… enough sappiness…
I wanted to show off her last art piece she did. It’s currently sitting on our mantle and I’m sure you saw it in “If you’re a paint chip hoarder like me…“. It’s simple and fun art for the little ones to create anytime but especially for Valentines Day! Check it out…
Items Needed:
1. Washable Paint
2. Construction Paper
3. Painters Tape
the “How-To”:
1. Tape off your shape and/or words on your construction paper. {I put four short pieces of painters tape side by side, cut into a heart and stuck on the construction paper.}
2. Let your kiddo go crazy finger painting over top of the taped off heart.
{Sorry for the blurry images… I quickly snapped this with my phone since my camera wasn’t within reach.}
3. Let it dry!
4. Display it! We have her art work framed in multiple spots in our home as well as displayed on our refrigerator!
Cute right? I know… this is verrrry simple but as a proud mommy I’m sharing the basics today!
Have fun and enjoy painting with your babies!
