DIY Entry Organizer

I have been on an organizing kick lately like nobody’s freakin’ business. Both times I’ve been pregnant I get this strong gumption to completely organize my closets, cabinets and pretty much my whole house! I think that just means I need to keep having babies, right? 😉 Well, in the midst of this crazy kick, I decided to make our entryway organizer. We have been needing one to hold our mail and keys but I just couldn’t seem to find THAT special one that was calling my name soo… I DIY-ed that baby right up! Check out how easy it was…

Items I used:

  • piece of wood {my wood size was 25″ long &  7″ high}
  • 3 hooks
  • wood screws {size of screws depends on the size of the hole on your hooks}
  • old belt
  • scissors
  • drill
  • magazine rack
  • 2 picture hooks to hang board
  • paint

How to:

  • First, I painted the board and let it dry.

  • Second, I attached the picture hooks onto the back of the board, the magazine rack and the key hooks using my wood screws & drill.

  • Third, I originally hung the organizer thinking I was finished but once it was hung it was a little bland for me. I decided to cut a piece off of an old belt {approx. 8 inches long} and screw it into the board leaving a “loop” for a plant to set.

Don’t you agree it looks better now? 🙂

It’s simple but I love it! It fits our style and our small entry space perfectly. One of the best things about this project is it didn’t cost hardly anything! Boom, my fav.

Have a great day!
