Kiddy Corner

Ah, I’ve missed you guys!!! I’m stoked I finally have a moment to reconnect with all of you DIY-ers! :) It seems we have been in full speed for weeks now and I love it but it’s wonderful to get back into my little bloggy world.

Hubs, baby and I recently visited the IMA {Indianapolis Museum of Art}. It is one of my favorite places to go! Besides all of the insaaaane creativity these people display in their art, it is one of the most INSPIRING and PEACEFUL places to hike/walk/relax/picnic {you get the point}. I went a little crazy with taking nature pics {hubs was wayyy over it :-D } but I wanted to share some with you spectacular peeps so you can experience it too!

{Oops, how did that get in there :-D -guilty-}

Well, well, well…where to start?! I have been working on quite a few projects but I can’t seem to put enough focus onto one project to finish it {ughhh}. I keep bouncy around starting projects but leaving them… unfinished. This is totally out of my character so it’s driving me crazy but I can’t stop myself! LOL. I was rackin’ my brain of which project I should share first..”the unfinished deck? nah”, “the unfinished bohemian room? not yet”, “or our helpless laundry room that is screaming MAKEOVER”. This is what I came up with. This one is simple but cute. I did this for my little girls room {needless to say she is too young to appreciate it yet BUT by golly, she’ll will LOVE it one day….even if it is years from now ;-) }.

I draped some furry fabric {because anything furry = everything cozier} over a tension rod to create a little nook. Once it was draped I nailed the fabric underneath and cut the center into two pieces to make it look like curtains. Last, I tied ribbons around the sides to complete it, threw in a couple pillows and toys and BOOM ->kiddy corner… accomplished. What kid doesn’t love their very own hiding spot? One day...yes, one day {probably many years from now} my child will love me for this :) .

Playin’ in the Dirt

Mother’s Day has come aaaand gone {tear, tear}. I wish we had a Mother’s Day once a month {we deserve it right?! ;) }. It was a ridiculously fantastic day for me as for you I’m sure :) The weekend started with a Mother’s Spa Day with my momma!! On Sunday I woke up to breakfast in bed {actually, I woke up while hubs was making it and he told me to go back to bed so I wouldn’t ruin it. LOL}, a brand new camera and kisses from my little one {<- topped it off}! We enjoyed the rest of our day with our families; lunch with my family and dinner with his! It was perfect.

My momma has heard me gripe about needing/wanting to garden {our shabby little yard has def been in need of some TLC} so I was amped to see she gifted me with lots of flowers for Mother’s Day!

My hubs jokingly ragged on me that by the time I would plant them they would be dead….the bet IS ON. By golly, the next day I had those puppies planted in the ground {hubs even helped out}. ;) Here’s the evidence….

{Pulling up those crazy stubborn weeds we had. Oh yeah, while pulling weeds a snake came right up to my hand! AHHHHH- I know I was in his space but I have to admit he scared me a bit.}

{My little gardening buddy! She LOVES nature –>a girl after my own heart!}

We plan on attempting to plant some veggies in the back yard as well! Any tips???? {ALL ears}

I want to hear all about what plans and gifts you were showered with for Mother’s Day!?!? :)
